Why Attend the Annual Business Meeting?

As a member of AGC, the annual business meeting is an excellent way for members to learn exactly what the chapter is doing for you and your company. It’s also a great place for you to mingle with chapter leadership and let them know exactly what you would like the chapter to do for the industry; it is an excellent forum to have your voice heard.

This year’s business meeting will begin with council meetings and education in the morning, followed by the Safety Awards Luncheon, where we recognize ROSE Awards (Recognition of Safety Excellence) and Safety PRIDE Award recipients, our annual economic forecast follows the lunch, and then plan to attend the annual membership and board of directors meetings. The afternoon will conclude with a festive reception and installation of the 2010 officers.

Safety Awards Luncheon

Safety is the leading issue for the construction industry, and the Oregon-Columbia Chapter works hard to keep our members safe on the jobsite. Recipients of the annual Recognition of Safety Excellence (ROSE) Awards will be recognized at the Safety Awards Luncheon. Recipients of the ROSE Award are nominated for national AGC of America awards, which are awarded at the annual convention in March. The chapter has a proud history of national awards, and we expect this year to be no different.
