Human Resources: How to Train Supervisors
About Leave Law
April 21,
10:00 am–12:00 pm
Level 301, 2 CEUs
$69/$139
AGC Center,
Wilsonville
Course
Description:
Join us for this focused training seminar
that includes a take home PowerPoint
presentation and comprehensive trainer's
manual that you can use to bring your
supervisors up to speed on employee leave
laws. There is no doubt that employee leave
laws have become considerably more
complicated, and for many employers,
untrained supervisors are the weak link in
the compliance chain. Most training programs
are detailed, complicated, and designed for
the HR compliance team, so we have created a
training program designed for supervisors
that emphasizes basic understanding and
problem spotting. Make sure that your
supervisors know enough about these laws to
prevent your company from falling out of
compliance.
This program
is designed for those who have a base
knowledge regarding leave laws but need
assistance educating supervisory staff or
managers about those laws.

Hazardous and Regulated Materials in
Construction & EPA Lead Rule Update
May 6, 2010, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Level 101, 2 CEUs
$69/$139
AGC Center,
Wilsonville
Course Description:
Contractors assume a tremendous amount of
liability for the proper identification,
employee notification, and handling of
hazardous and regulated materials (HRMs) on
projects. They often begin work without a
full understanding of the issues that need
to be addressed, which can lead to
inadvertent spills, unnecessary exposures,
OSHA or DEQ citations, project delays, and
third party claims. This course will provide
a regulatory overview and visual
appreciation of commonly encountered HRMs so
they can be addressed before problems arise.
The course will also address testing and
abatement subcontracting issues. (No
prerequisite required.)
